Publication Fee

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Review (AIMLR) maintains a clear and transparent publication fee structure to support editorial management, peer review administration, production, digital hosting, and long-term archiving of accepted articles. No charges are applied during the submission or peer review stage. Publication fees are issued only after an article has been formally accepted for publication following completion of editorial and peer review processes.

Standard Publication Charges

Accepted manuscripts are subject to a base publication fee of USD 200, which covers production for articles up to 15 pages. For manuscripts that exceed this length, an additional charge of USD 15 per page is applied beyond the fifteenth page of the finalized, typeset version. If authors choose to publish figures, charts, or graphical outputs in color, an additional handling charge of USD 3 per color image per page is applied to cover processing and formatting requirements.

Waiver and Discount Policy

AIMLR supports equitable access to publishing opportunities. Partial or full fee waivers may be considered for researchers from low-income countries, early-career researchers without institutional funding, or authors facing documented financial limitations. Waiver requests must be submitted during the peer review stage, prior to final acceptance, and must be formally approved by the editorial office. Waivers are granted only in exceptional cases and do not influence editorial or peer review decisions.

Fast-Track Peer Review

Authors who require accelerated editorial processing due to funding deadlines, academic promotion requirements, or time-sensitive research may apply for a fast-track review option. Under this process, the manuscript is prioritized for rapid peer review and editorial decision. The fast-track fee is USD 100, which is in addition to the standard publication fee and is non-refundable, regardless of the editorial outcome. Participation in fast-track review does not guarantee acceptance, and manuscripts must still fulfill all scientific and ethical requirements.

Refund Policy

Publication fees are payable only after acceptance. Once payment is processed and production work has begun, publication fees are generally non-refundable. If an accepted article is withdrawn by the authors after production has started, no refund will be issued. In the rare case of an editorial or technical error that prevents publication after payment, the editorial board may evaluate refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis. Fees related to voluntary withdrawal, rejection during fast-track review, or author-initiated delays are non-refundable.
